The seasons of celebrations comes to Amity again, starting up with the annual fests,it’s the young managers this time from “Amity School of Business” who kick-started the fests with “AURA’09”held on 12th and 13th February..With the blessings and co-ordination from the director ASB,Prof.Alka munjal.

The fest was a huge success as this year not only just amity institutes but also many other renowned colleges like Christ college(Bangalore),SDM(Mangalore),and other Delhi colleges like DCE, Gargi ,Kamla Nehru, Hindu college , SRCC, participated in the events.  

The Theme of this year’s AURA WAS “Plutus is Absentia,the accession of Frazzled Economy”addressing the turbulent times faced by  the countries worldwide in the wake of recession.

The fest was inaugurated by Former International Cricketer & MP Mr.Kirti Azad,motivating the students,he implored them to persistently follow 4D’s namely DESIRE,DETERMINATION,DEDICATION and DISCIPLINE,that will make them a better human being in their lives.Mr.Nickky Bhagnani –executive producer of the upcoming file “kal kisne dekha” was also present during the inaugural ceremony.

DAY 1 :- Several competitions and events took place during the day that could be broadly classified into 3 categories:-

1 .management games-these games were designed specifically to seek oout qualities of a manager and to figure out from him the overall co-ordination.there were 6 round’s that included HR,best manager,business quiz,marketing,stratergy and finance.

2 .Stand alone games-these included various fun filled events and games like add mad,debate,dramatics,LAN gaming,etc.LAN gaming this year received an overwhelming response with over 200 participants from all over India.

3.Cultural events that took place in the evening included fashion show ,western dance all choreographed by a capable person in lead from Bollywood.

Before starting of the cultural events on day 1 , an overnight assignment was given to participating management teams to stress them out .they were prepared in such a way that it takes more than 7 hrs to prepare them whereas the teams couldn’t get even 5 hrs,this would showcase the exact manager inside a human being.

DAY 2 :-

DAY 2 began with the final presentation’s of the overnight assignment that went on till the lunch.At around 1pm vocal events took place which received participation from all over the country.they were divided in four parts namely solo,western,Indian group and western group.

Then the main attraction of the fest namely “Jack of all trades” , to seek out the best manager from amongst the participants.It was to figure out a person who was best at finance,strategy,marketing and was overall an excellent personality who could handle stressed out situations as we see on “roadies” frequently.

The final part of this round was the stress interview which was the final interview for the best manager.

Rishi Kapoor , stars of the movie ” Kal Kisne Dekha ” –Jacky and Vaishali were the main attraction amongst others to rock and roll the students with valentine’s gifts being given by them on small quizzes.

All these events got over at around 5 pm and were followed by prize distribution.,in the evening there was a band performance by participating bands from different collages,bands were given 17 minutes in which they had to setup their instruments on stage and perform live.,

This was followed by Starnight-the main attraction of the fest. It was “ARYANS” band this time to perform live,the audience completely rocked on their performance,and with this the fest comes to an end.
