Amity University is the First Indian University to create Virtual Campus on Second Life enabling students and faculty to experiment with the potential uses of Second Life for education.Second Life is a virtual online world owned and constructed by its residents. Participants purchase land, build houses, start businesses, and hold discussions, presentations, and debates.
Student of Amity Institute of Biotechnology took an initiative to help the victims of Bihar floods. They planned to collect food, clothes and money from the students. Students of Amity School of Engineering & Technology joined hands with AIB for this noble cause and started campaigning in the University for collecting the required material. Cartons were placed in front of each block, where students could donate food; clothes etc.AIB student personally went to Bihar and donated the material to victims.

Amity School of Engineering & Technology won Silver medal in cricket for the first time in Amity inter institutions sports meet Sangathan. ASET team led by captain Prateek Negi performed flawlessly to reach into the finals.In semi final they smashed AIBS which was strong contender of GOLD. ASET recorded its wins against ASE-Bijawasan, AIIT, AITTM and AIBS. In finals ASET lost to previous gold medal winner Amity school of Business(ASB). 2nd year students Dhawan , vivek bajpeyi and captain Prateek Negi (4th year) Contributed alot to the team's journey to the finals.

I am happy to announce that student membership of Amity students has been accepted by SAE-INDIA.Students who applied for ATS(SAE) Membership before 31st may can now collect their membership cards and usernames from the ATS(SAE) board. Beta 1.3 launched

After fixing few bugs ... i am ready to announce the new beta 1.3 version of Amitylounge.com. No doubts Amitylounge has got popularity within the launch of 2 months.But it has miles to go to become india's no.1 student portal. So i have planned to launch atleast 5 betas prior to the stable release.Beta 1.3 has opened some opportunities to the users also by letting them become the moderators.
