I would like to know what books do our respected seniors suiggest for preparation to attend GRE?

If I am to join MIT, Wont I need the letters backing my profile from professors? Will the strature of professor do have its impact on the letter and virtually on our admission?

For scoring above 1400 which is considered quite a good score in GRE..n wud increase ur admsn chances in high ranking universities..u need to master the BARRON'S WORDLIST to excel ur vocab...morover u need 2 brush up ur basic fundamentals f mathematics f 10th class...BIG BOOK FOR GRE is nice...practice practice n practice dis is ol wot u need..practice as many GRE sample papers u cn..specially d sample papers in d BIG BOOK...
u cn downld dem in d form f ebooks..dats a bettr option

for gettn admsn in a high ranking university lyk MIT..u need quite a nice profile..n strong letters f recommendations...beside a high score in GRE!!

So when exactly is the ideal time to give GRE?

according to my LOGIC section- ideal time is at the end of 6th semester. But since we will be facing interviews in the 6th semester would it not be a wrong time to prepare for GRE? ??? ???
