Kshitij, the annual techno-management fest of IIT Kharagpur has come a long way since its inception in 2004 in becoming the largest fest of its kind in the whole of Asia.
It has been our earnest endaevour to provide a platform to numerous talented students across the world to exhibit their scientific dexterity and managerial acumen and spread the spirit of youth by uniting young minds from various colleges under the banner of science, technology and management.

With over forty quality events in the fields of technology and management and participation exceeding twenty thousand, nationwide and abroad, this four-day fest starts creating waves months prior to its official date. The fest boasts of prizes worth over forty five lacs and its association with corporate giants like Barclays Capital, Nokia, Google, Vodafone, Tata, Adobe, Mentor graphics and many more that profoundly sponsor it in the light of its unmatched credentials, thus helping it grow bigger and better every year.Kshitij aims to be a confluence of students, academia and the industry. While the competitions at Kshitij prove to be the ultimate test of grit, knowledge and skill, the guest lectures and workshops provide an enriching experience for the avid learners. The fest has been graced by the presence of such luminaries who are looked up to for their distinguished contribution in their respective fields. Earlier editions of Kshitij has had illustrious guest lectures by Nobel laureates like Dr. Klaus von Klitzing, Dr. Paul Crutzen,Kurt Wuthrich, first Indian cosmonaut in space Mr. Rakesh Sharma, co-founder of wikipedia Mr. Jimmy Donal Wales, founder of GNU Dr. Richard Stallman, the AD-guru Prahlad Kakar and other such stalwarts. Kshitij organizes a plethora of workshops relating both to the technology and managerial fields for students to meet and learn from the experts themselves. The mega shows by famed international troupes leave the audience spellbound and craving for more. The diversity offered at Kshitij is simply unparalleled and awe-inspiring.

To promote the core disciplines of engineering, KSHITIJ has joined hands with globally reputed and acknowledged associations including ACM, ASHRAE, ASME and IMechE. These associations, by providing their prestigious certifications for the events of Kshitij, give students the motivation to excel further and prove their mettle.
